Oh, here we go. And so it starts
Tumblr media
And how many did CS won on actual merit exactly? Let's count: first gifted while throwing his teammate championship under the bus thanks Binotto, second he just drove with the biggest help from charles in keeping 18 cars back, wouldn't had without it, third he overtook a car with its break on fire that later exploded and yeah we're out of races
Highlighting this comment
Tumblr media
And I don't want to hear about Bahrain 22 and Australia 22 because we all well know Charles did clear him long before the car started having issue for max, and his other wins were fought untill the end; the difference is that Charles goes always the extra mile to make it happen while CS does the bare minimum that is expected of him

Is it really surprising the guy who brings a shit-ton of money through sponsors and is willing to submit to Max was picked over the guys with not as much money and less willingness to play for the team? 🤔
Listen, I would have loved to see some change (especially Yuki to RBR) but, though I disagree with it, I can see why Checo was kept. Even more with the theories that he brings enough money to offset the 2nd place in WCC.
The drivers who could challenge Max are already locked in. Max already beat both Daniel & Carlos, the two most popular choices, when he wasn't close to what he is now. The other alternatives are... not much of an upgrade. So, it's normal they went with the guy who at least brings them bucks; no matter how disappointing it might be for people pushing/wanting certain narratives.

Hi, i gotta get this out here as soon as i can so here goes
so apparently someone didnt like my art (specifically the recent alecca drawing which as of now ive privated) and went off to some third grade f1 gossip cesspool instagram page and dropped my drawing down there and theyre basically publicly shaming my blog and my art specifically the rpf content
which is why im making this post as a refresher on what rpf actually is - real people fiction - key word FICTION
please for the love of god, understand that with any fandom space comes creation and that it comes in multiple forms of art writing music and so forth, and rpf has been a subculture of this specific f1 fandom for a LONG ASS TIME the most dated first f1 rpf fic goes back to literally mika/michael on ao3 in like 2002
us making this sort of content doesnt MEAN that we actually think of these drivers in this light, because that is the line that NONE of us should cross
how is it any different if one ships a driver with a model or a influencer, than us shipping them with another driver? in both cases it is still the 'real people' clause so why is one okay and the other 'vile and disgusting' (quoted exactly from the story they posted abt my art btw)
some part of me knows its not that deep, because it really isnt we all just want to support our favourite teams and drivers and have fun in this fandom space together and follow basic fandom etiquette, if you dont like, then dont interact, something i myself have been doing ever since i started liking formula 1
but another part of me knows that i shouldnt be getting shit online for stuff that i make for my small community of people, where we genuinely mean no harm and if it bothers you, then thats a personal issue of yours
rpf has been a long running subculture for decades now, it has certain moral boundaries that we all follow here and none of us cross it so its really disheartening to see that the stuff i made being plastered across on ig as dehumanising and fetishising, because the intention behind my art is nothing but of support and joy
and lastly i just wanna say, that if ur an active tumblr user and if my (in my opinion, very lowkey art compared to regular tumblr content) is getting you this worked up then u should consider changing social medias lmao

I will always be on this hill of if you're in Tumblr and Ao3 you should be prepared for RPF regardless on what fandom and wether you like it or not (If you don't like it simply block RPF blog), if you go here, found RPF only to shit on it outside the fandom space you really should never have any access to this site.

we have gone from mclaren being annoyed that max knows the rules too well to them openly admitting lando doesn’t actually know them.
Tumblr media
multiple drivers (including max, charles, esteban) knew exactly what they should do in this situation and turned off their engines.

I’m already seeing the discourse start online so let’s be clear. Ferrari’s brakes were shit the ENTIRE race. Charles wasn’t the only one being told to lift. He caught up to Carlos a lot in the second stint because Carlos’s brakes were nearly on fire, too. Carlos’s brakes didn’t clean up until like 15-20 laps from the end. Sky kept talking about how both of them were being told to lift and coast. It’s arguable whether Charles’s brakes could have survived him pushing more to stay ahead of Lando but without detailed brake data, we won’t know.
Either way you understand why it was frustrating for Charles - the car didn’t give him what he needed to stay in 2nd and it was this or his brakes catching fire. When it’s not about technique but about equipment it always hurts more.

Not to compliment RedBull on anything. But this is the funniest fucking thing ever. Someone at RedBull did the math to see how they could prevent Lando from winning the WDC.

sometimes I see the originals of these quotes that enrage fandom into discourse and I’m so lost as to the journey it takes like he literally called a tiny principality that combines very old traditionalism/royalty/locals living very different lifestyles to other residents with casinos/modernism/tax haven dystopian bc it is ?? and in a similar way Charles said that it’s a strange place for locals because when there’s no events or out of season it feels like a small village but when the season comes in it’s like a major metropolitan place
and Oscar also called himself out that he chooses to live there so it’s ironic for him to say that - he specifically said he’s no different and has chosen to be another driver who moved there
and like it’s okay if someone just wants to hate someone and they hate everything the person says period bc fair enough I respect the haterism !
and I only even post about this bc for intended super serious discourse I’m truly lost w this one in particular ! he specifically didn’t say he’s a different kind of millionaire or make a huge socioeconomic commentary and before I knew this had people incensed I was like it’s rare for one of these guys to bring up how they all move there for one very specific reason and are courted to do so ahshdjfbjdndn most of them don’t like pointing it out/having it pointed out I’m genuinely so lost ??

I have also heard that they raised pity for the outfits, making it like 240 or something pulls to guarantee it :/ Maybe that's why people find it bad that the clothes are 11 pieces.
ugh i'm of two minds on the topic T-T on one hand i do understand why people are upset and how this would negatively impact people's relationship with the game, but on the other, i simply cannot bring myself to be surprised that a wildly predatory gacha game would be,,, wildly predatory. it's kind of like people getting mad about the amount of fanservice in marvel rivals. like babygirl what did we expect from the fanservice game modeled after the objectifying women company. i do not know how else you imagined this would end.

Realised today that I'm not a real tifosi. I think I would have taken another boring max win over this. And now it's 2 weeks before the next race and it's going to be unbearable
No this stupid thing going on that if you're not happy for the other driver you don't get to call yourself a tifosi is honestly bullshit, the real issue is cs and the toxicity he drags around; the atmosphere is so rancid when he's there and it was confirmed by last weekend a lot of people noticed how things were calmer, ferrari felt different, comms were more objective. I still love Ferrari and what it was, i can hate one of the driver and still love what Ferrari is about, fuck them i will not be happy for this win

I’ll just add this, but after pulling the story of underdogs as “we don’t have the fastest car” that Lando even reinforced recently in an interview, after trying to paint redbull as cheaters (which isn’t the case) to show themselves more legitimate (when the actual cheating was done by McLaren, or I guess “loophole”, but that still led to them having to change all of this rear wings, for those who still don’t know about it), now the discourse of the fia is biased toward Max and helping him! is coming out.
Of course that’s how any team can try to win the support of the public, but don’t come talking about dirty tactics when your team is using it.

Flexible Front Wings AKA More FIA Clownery
If these tweets are accurate, the FIA has taken almost 3 months to investigate the flexible wings and now says it's "too late" to intervene because teams wouldn't be ready by the end of the season.
But of course, this means that - if the other teams want to have a level playing field - they need to spend their budget (which is capped) to catch up.
Which, by the FIA's own admission, there isn't enough time to do. So hopefully those teams have already been developing these new wings, otherwise they're just shit out of luck.
I really try not to be a tinhatter, but all this screams to me is that the FIA were either fully aware or willingly ignorant that the McLaren car (esp. but also Mercedes) is at best dubiously legal if not illegal but looked the other way because they wanted a title fight to maximize attention and profits.
And as the second tweet shows, when the FIA is incentivized to move quickly they can and have.
It also begs the question, where would the championship standings be if the FIA had actually looked into this when they were asked to?
There was so much talk about the 2021 championship being rigged by the FIA. Will there be the same talks now?

re: lando norris, starbucks, F1 and boycotts
the first rule of Formula 1 is understanding these privileged men do not give a shit. they partake in the most elite sport there is, where only 20 people can do it at a time. it's a bubble of money and luxury they thrive whitin.
just don't put anyone on a pedestal or your hand on fire for any of them. not even the ones that seem like the good ones.
personally, I expect the bare minimum of no homophobia, no racism, no sexual misconduct or assault. but I do not expect them to care about world problems as strongly as we do. bc if all went to shits they will run to a safe mansion, and we'll be the ones left to survive.
embrace fandom and friendships, the fun of the races and the drama, sharing gifs and fics and edits, and put THAT above your favorite driver!
